Sofia Vergara
Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara is a Colombian model who was raised and born in Barranquilla. Margarita Davila de Vergara is her mother. Her father, Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo, provides cattle to the meat industry. She is the mother of five brothers and sisters. She attended a private bilingual Spanish/English school. When she completed her dental school she began working in the television and modeling business. In the end, Sofia was discovered by photographers while on the beach. This was the catalyst for a number of job opportunities for modeling and TV. After her 23rd birthday she was an actress. Co-hosted the travel program Fuera de serie (1996) in 1995 through 1998. This allowed her to be exposed to Americans. The first film appearance she had was on the crime drama Big Trouble (2002). Her first big break came in the role of Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the American television series Modern Family (2009). The actress won four Emmys from the years 2010 and 2013 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Sofia is a mother to her child Manolo in Los Angeles.
